Since the 'Nogales' story is not finished at this time I will be adding to it as it is written. I have not yet settled on a title, Nogales is simply the working copy's file name. If you have suggestions about a name I am open to them. Thank you!

Mark Welch

Mark Welch

Mark Edward Welch was born to the son of a Master Sergeant Robert Lee Welch, USArmy at the Naval Base of Kittery, Maine in the year 1964. Growing up in the small town of Springvale, Maine, playing baseball and marching in the local High School Band was his dream. Neither of the two blossomed into a career. After completing a bachelors degree at the University of Maine, Orono, Maine in business administration, he knows absolutely nothing of running a business although his small construction company is providing a meager income. After university, this partially deranged person chose to enlist in the United States Navy and was commissioned by Congress in 1986. 36 weeks later, after completing hell in Coronado, California, he was awarded the coveted Budweiser pin, and began a career as Navy SEAL. Four and a half years later he dumped the career for a new wife that soon dumped him. Now, Capt. Mark spends his time running a small construction company, being a charter captain for local yachts bound for Bimini and the Bahama's and writing in Miami Beach. Walking his four year old boxer on the beach at sunset is his favorite pastime, yet he enjoys reminiscing the old days with friends at the VFW...(mostly lies), and tossing back frosty glasses of beer. The Captain likes TKO critiques and loves to give them. Poetry is not his strong point, yet he is determined to write something that resembles the art in the near future.

Eva Gustafsson

Eva was born in Stockholm Sweden a few years back. Spending the last twenty years building a Graphic Arts Studio in Miami Beach, she has become a leader in her field. Writing poetry is really a pastime for her as time permits and scribbles frantically on scraps of paper when the urge hits. Watching TV after a slave day at the office calms her nerves,
yet a good movie or listening to classical music is always a choice venture.
A bowl of fresh basil pasta, a good book and TKO critiques...bring it on!
